How Tall Is Josiah Queen? What the Reports Actually Say

He is about to play seventeen arenas, and nobody can agree on how tall he is. The figures published about him differ by four inches, which is the kind of gap that cannot be explained by rounding.

Josiah Queen has never confirmed his height. The two numbers in circulation are 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 10 inches, and neither comes from him, his label or any official source.

How Tall Is Josiah Queen?

The honest answer is that nobody outside his immediate circle knows. He has never given a figure in an interview, his label biography does not list one, and he has never addressed the question publicly.

What exists instead are two competing estimates that have been copied back and forth between profile pages for years. Neither has a source attached, and the pages carrying them do not agree with each other.

The Two Figures in Circulation

One camp lists him at 5 feet 6 inches, or 168 centimetres. The other lists him at 5 feet 10 inches, or 178 centimetres. A smaller number of pages simply give the range and admit no single figure is confirmed.

Four inches is a substantial difference. It is the gap between noticeably short for an American man and slightly above average, and it is not the sort of thing careful sourcing produces.

The average adult male height in the United States is around 5 feet 9 inches. The lower figure would place him well below that, and the higher one just above it, which is why the question keeps getting asked rather than settled.

Why the Estimates Disagree

Stage photography is the main culprit. Artists are usually shot from below, standing on risers, in boots, surrounded by people of unknown height, and every one of those factors distorts the result.

Footwear alone can account for an inch or more. Boots are standard stagewear in the folk and country-adjacent world his music sits in, and nobody photographs a performer barefoot.

Guitar players are harder still. A guitar changes posture and body proportions in a photograph, and worship artists in particular spend most of their stage time behind an instrument.

The rest is simple copying. One page guesses, another repeats it, a third rounds it differently, and within a couple of years there are two established numbers with nothing underneath either of them.

Worship artists are a particularly hard case. Much of the available footage is shot in churches and at festivals, where lighting is built for atmosphere rather than clarity, and the performer is usually on a platform above the crowd.

This happens constantly in music. Jessie Murph spent years with the wrong figure attached to her name until a lyric in one of her own songs settled it, which is the only way these questions ever really get answered.

What His Weight Figures Say

Published weights sit around 70 to 72 kilograms, roughly 154 to 159 pounds. Like the height, these come from estimate sites rather than from him.

The narrow range is misleading. Weight figures for artists tend to cluster because each page copies the last, not because anyone has measured anything.

There is also no good reason for the number to exist. Weight is not a fixed attribute, it moves across a touring year, and no artist publishes it.

How Old Is Josiah Queen?

He was born on January 11, 2003, which makes him 23 years old. That places him under Capricorn, and he turns 24 in January 2027.

Several profiles get this wrong in both directions, listing him as 22 or as 24 with a 2002 birth year. At least one gives his star sign as Gemini, which cannot be right for a January birthday.

The age matters to the story more than the height does. He released his first single at 16 and will headline arenas at 24, which is a fast climb by any measure.

Where Is Josiah Queen From?

He was born in Clearwater, Florida, and is usually described as being from Tampa, where he is now based. The two sit on opposite sides of Tampa Bay, about half an hour apart.

Florida runs through his music more quietly than it does for most artists who lean on place. His songwriting is built around faith and family rather than geography, which is part of why the songs travel as well as they do.

The Tampa Bay area has produced a steady stream of Christian artists, helped by a large church network across the region. Starting there gave him an audience to play to before anything reached streaming.

He grew up in a Christian household and began writing songs at around nine years old. That is early even by the standards of artists who start young, and it meant he had roughly seven years of writing behind him before his first release.

Is Josiah Queen Married?

Yes. He married Trinity Joy in 2023, when he was 20 and his career was still building. They have been together through the whole of his commercial rise.

The marriage predates most of his commercial success. The Prodigal arrived in 2024 and the move to arena touring came after that, so she has been there for the entire rise rather than arriving partway through it.

They keep the relationship relatively private. She appears occasionally in his content, and neither of them gives interviews about it, which fits the tone of everything else he does publicly.

Marrying at 20 is young by most measures, though less so within the world he works in. It is also one of the few personal details he has made public at all.

His Career So Far

He started releasing music in 2020 with “God of Miracles” at the age of 16. He built an audience on TikTok with acoustic clips long before any label was involved, which is the route most of his generation took into the industry.

“I Am Barabbas” was the breakthrough, reaching Billboard’s list of the hottest Christian songs in 2023. His debut album The Prodigal followed in May 2024, released independently through his own imprint.

The second record changed his position entirely. Mt. Zion arrived on August 22, 2025 through Capitol Christian Music Group and F&L, peaking at 57 on the Billboard 200 and number four on the Christian albums chart.

The Music Behind the Rise

“Can’t Steal My Joy”, featuring Grammy winner Brandon Lake, opened the Mt. Zion campaign in January 2025. “Yesterday Is Dead” followed in March and gave him his biggest streaming debut without a guest artist.

“Dusty Bibles” came in June 2025, and he described it as one of the most honest songs he had written. Reviewers of the album pointed to his folk-infused sound and the directness of the lyrics.

That folk leaning is what separates him from most contemporary worship music. The arrangements sit closer to Americana than to the polished production the genre usually favours, and it is a large part of why the records have crossed over.

His 2026 singles have carried the same thread. “Demons” dealt with spiritual warfare, “Judas” arrived in March, and “Make Heaven Crowded” followed, all building toward the third album.

Damascus Road, the Third Album

His third studio album, Damascus Road, is due on October 23, 2026. The title refers to the conversion of Saul on the road to Damascus, and he has said the story matters to him because it is about being changed by an encounter with God and never being the same afterwards.

It arrives through his own imprint alongside F&L, continuing the pattern of keeping creative control while using a major label’s distribution. That structure is unusual for an artist his age and it explains why his name appears on his own releases.

Josiah Queen Tour Dates and Upcoming Events

The Damascus Road Tour is his first arena headline run, covering 17 dates across the United States and Canada between April 8 and May 8, 2027. It opens at the BOK Center in Tulsa and closes at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth.

Tickets went on general sale on September 18, 2026, following a presale four days earlier, with the full routing confirmed by trade press at the time of the announcement. Current routing and any additions are listed on his official tour page.

The step up is significant. Arenas like Honda Center, Target Center and Spectrum Center hold between fifteen and twenty thousand people, and moving into them at 24 puts him among the fastest-rising artists in Christian music.

For context, his previous headline run covered thirty-one theatre and club dates. Fewer, larger rooms is the standard sign that demand has outgrown the venues an artist was playing before.

The routing also leans heavily on the Midwest, the South and the West Coast, with a single Canadian date in Toronto. That spread follows the map of where Christian music draws its biggest live audiences.

Awards and Recognition

He has picked up nominations across the main Christian music awards, including the GMA Dove Awards. Recognition has also come from the Billboard Music Awards, Amazon Music, the K-Love Fan Awards and the We Love Awards.

Dove nominations in particular carry weight within the genre. They are voted on by industry members rather than the public, which makes them a reasonable marker of how his peers view the work.

What Can Actually Be Confirmed

Stripping out the estimates, the documented record is short and straightforward. It is worth setting out plainly, because the gap between it and what gets published is wide.

• He was born on January 11, 2003 in Clearwater, Florida
• He is 23 years old and based in Tampa
• He married Trinity Joy in 2023
• He released his first single, God of Miracles, in 2020
• His albums are The Prodigal, Mt. Zion and Damascus Road
• His first arena tour runs April to May 2027
• His height has never been confirmed

That last point is the whole answer to the question. Until he states a figure himself, anything published is an estimate, and the two competing numbers cannot both be right.

The better measure of him is everything around it. A first single at 16, a wedding at 20, a charting album at 22 and arenas at 24 is a far more useful description than any number in centimetres.
